He who Gives Life

The work of the Holy Spirit  in the life of the believer is that he is “The Lord, the giver of life.” In particular, he who gives life (to everyone) is also he who renews or regenerates that life (within the believer) and he who perfects that life in the age to come. The renewal or regeneration of life is accomplished especially in union with Christ, and it is the Spirit who joins us, sustains us, gifts us, and perfects us in that union.
