58. The Murder of Brenda Schaefer

By September 25, 1988, Brenda Sue Schaefer's family knew something was wrong. They hadn't heard from or seen Brenda in hours and their fears were confirmed when her car was found on the side of the road with a flat tire, a broken window, and blood at the scene. It would be a few months before they would have some answers, and several years until their initial suspicions were confirmed.
