MEPs in the European Parliament have today backed proposals to end the switch between summer and winter time in 2021.
Under the new proposal, EU countries can either keep their summer time and adjust clocks for the last occasion on the last Sunday of March 2021.
Or if they want to stick to standard winter time, they’ll have to change their clocks for the last time on the last Sunday of October 2021.
The Fine Gael MEP Sean Kelly welcomed today’s vote.
