Market Close 20 Oct 22: ASX 200 slumps by 1%

The Australian sharemarket fell by 1% on Thursday, sliding from the 2-week high hit yesterday. While nine of 11 sectors lost ground, energy stocks rose following a lift in oil prices and stronger quarterly results from Woodside and Santos.
