How should a character progress in comics? This was the topic of this weeks poll question and, judging by the response we got it, is a topic that many of you out there have definite opinions on. The CAPES team discusses the use of narrative in the comics and why some characters seem eternal while others have stories that reach definitive ends. Is there one right answer or does it depend on the character?
One of those characters who met his end, Rick Grimes of The Walking Dead, leads us into a discussion of this iconic comic series and it's impact on popular culture. Shawn Warner breaks down the Walking Dead finale and we discuss the series as a whole and what it has meant to pop culture.
Finally we pay tribute to the career of Alan Moore who announced his retirement. Each of the members of our pod talks about Moore and his works as we recount our favorite stories. Making his first appearance, as he weighs in on Moore's retirement, is the sad howl of the Canine Crusader, Mr Shrimpers. It was a touching, ironic moment that fit with the tribute we gave to this comic legend.
