A word from/about Lenny…

Many research studies suggest that musculoskeletal pain in the United Sates is at all-time high than it was 40 years ago and 54.5% of U.S. adult population experienced a musculoskeletal disorder in 2012. Lenny Levin, the founder of Wellness and Beyond, raised a question why the current concepts of the injury treatment and prevention are failing to produce successful outcomes.

This quest led him into the area of functional movement, and he discovered studying kinesiology and human anatomy that some principles and components of the science of human movement had been underplayed.

In addition, his research revealed that movement is carried out by three main systems within the human body and conventional injury treatment and exercise protocols mostly address the muscular system and treat isolated body segments.

Lenny set out on the mission 8 years ago to improve the current injury assessment and treatment protocols to include all three main systems responsible for human movement. He developed functional movement assessment and restoration programs based on the integrated functioning of three systems, the nervous system, skeletal system, and muscular system.

Functional Therapy has proven to be much more effective than practiced by conventional medicine and treat injuries to avoid a surgical intervention.
