Message Summary: Isaiah tells us in Isaiah 30:21: "And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, ‘This is the way, walk in it,’ when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left.". We know, from the New Testament, that Christians are given the Holy Spirit to walk with them -- "a voice behind you". Since the Holy Spirit takes up residence in us, the way the Lord speaks to us is through the inward witness of the Holy Spirit -- the Spirit will speak, and you will know that it is the Lord. In John 14:26, Jesus reminds us about His promise, to His followers, of the “Helper” (Holy Spirit): “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.”.
Today’s Affirmation: Today, I affirm that because of what God has done for me in His Son, Jesus, I will trust in the Lord with all my heart. I will trust in with all of my heart and lean not on my own understanding. In all my ways I will seek to know Him, and He will make my pathways straight. (From Proverbs 3:5f).
