Will wearing a mask affect my interviews if the company doesn’t strictly require them?

This is a very good question from our Discord community. This person is concerned about COVID-19 and other health-related issues, and was asking whether wearing a mask to an interview would have a negative effect on getting a job with a compay, if that company does not require employees to wear masks.
