The Straight Story (1999)

We continue with the filmography of David Lynch by exploring a lesser known classic; The Straight Story is a movie that has none of the typical hallmarks of a Lynch film, but nonetheless has the essential DNA of what is at the center of many of his movies. The Straight Story is (as its name implies) a very straightforward story about an elderly man longing to see his brother before it’s too late. Starring Richard Farnsworth as the sweet and humble Alvin Straight on his journey to reconcile with his brother.
