Discover Why Derry Was Voted Best Halloween Destination Over Transylvania

Karen Henderson, sales and marketing manager of Visit Derry, talks with Alan Fine of Insider Travel Report about the ancient walled city that seems to have embraced Halloween as a unifying annual event since the unrest it faced back in the 1960s through 1970s. Henderson says  it all began in a single pub about 30 years ago, and since then the city of 110,000 people swells to more than double around Halloween (not counting the dead), filling its hotels to capacity.
