Be Ready & Stay Awake!: He is Coming Like a Thief | Matthew 24:42-51

This is the last sermon in Matthew 24. Here we cover two brief parables concerning being prepared for the Lord's return.

1. Stay Awake!: Ongoing Faithfulness is the Readiness that Receives Great Reward (vv 42-47)
2. Don’t Fall into Worldly Sleep: Ongoing Worldliness is the Wickedness that Receives Great Punishment (vv 48-51)

Main idea: Be always ready for the Lord’s return. Don’t let the passions of the flesh or the pleasures of this world lull you into spiritual sleep. Eternity is at stake. The joys of reward and the horrors of judgment will both be unspeakably great. So, whatever it costs and whatever it takes: Stay awake!
