#17 Joe & Garon Talk Adoption

Air traffic controller, Garon Wade, called in to chat about adoption. Garon's story is incredible. Garon was born in Sri Lanka and adopted by an American family. Adoption is an important part of Garon's narrative. His adopted father was adopted, Garon was adopted, and Garon and his husband have adopted two children, one from the United States and one from South Africa. He educated me on the adoption process when adopting children in the states and from a foreign country. 

We also discussed racist relatives, citizens of the United States who don't have passports, living abroad, and how the words that parents use around their children can influence their child in a negative way.
