US Mid-Session 3 Feb 17: A quieter night in the US ahead of job numbers

US sharemarket indexes traded in tight ranges ahead of key jobs data to be released on Friday. Investors digested latest comments from President Trump as well as the latest earnings results. With an hour of trade to go the Dow Jones index was lower by 45 points or 0.2% after trading in a 91 point range. The S&P 500 index was down by 0.2% while the Nasdaq was lower by 17 points or 0.3%.
