lll. Demonic forces – Satan is a real being and a real force and he is out to steal, kill and destroy.

 

 

Distraction might be the most demonic activity we face today to keep us from building walls.

*We see over 2000 advertisements a day

*We are interrupted 600 times a day

*We have 999 channels on TV

 

To busy to build!    To distracted to Build!  

 

 

Cornerstone – Jesus is the cornerstone – if we build without him it will not stand.

 

1 Peter 2:6

6 For in Scripture it says: "See, I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen and precious cornerstone, and the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame."

 

 

The cornerstone is the crooked weird shaped stone in the corner of the foundation that keeps the rest of the building straight. If the building is not built from the cornerstone then the whole building will be built crooked and unsafe.  

 

 

 

If you use the cornerstone anywhere else but the corner/beginning spot of the foundation it will still be as dangerous as ever

 

 

 

Uses for Duct tape – it is supposed to be for ducts – 

I read 101 uses for Duct tape – billy club for protection, use instead of nail polish, remove hairs, toilet paper

 

 

 

We use the Cornerstone for all the wrong reasons –

 

 

 

We can’t just try to stick the cornerstone into our life half way into our life

We don’t just stick it into relationships when having problems

We don’t just stick it into money issues when short at the end of the month

We don’t just stick it into life when we get older 

 

 

 

John 14:26 Jesus will send the Helper/Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is called parakletos – the HELPER

 

 

 

When Reese was 5 we bought him a super robot warrior model. It had 100,000 pieces. He begged me to put it together. So that night after everything was opened, picked up and everyone in bed I started to put it together. It took all night. He woke up that morning and saw it – EVERY KID HE SAW HE SAID LOOK AT THE MODEL I MADE – I WAS HAPPY TO HEAR HIM SAY THAT!
