Exodus 20:12(NLT)

12 “Honor your father and mother. Then you will live a long, full life in the land the Lord your God is giving you.

 

To honor somebody does not demand that we love them.

 

Honoring those who have wronged us starts by giving grace.

  

To honor somebody who has wronged us, we must be willing to forgive before even being asked. 

 

Romans 12:17-21  (NLT)

17 Never pay back evil with more evil. Do things in such a way that everyone can see you are honorable. 18 Do all that you can to live in peace with everyone. 19 Dear friends, never take revenge. Leave that to the righteous anger of God. 21 Don’t let evil conquer you, but conquer evil by doing good.

 

 

We must show our mother and father honor and respect for the sake of our children
