At long last, Fred McGriff has been elected to the Hall of Fame. It's an overdue selection for The Crime Dog, but McGriff will finally be recognized as one of the best first baseman in baseball history. He received was a unanimous selection by the Contemporary Baseball Era Players Committee. McGriff played 19 seasons with the Blue Jays, Padres, Braves, Rays, Cubs, and Dodgers. He tallied 493 career home runs.
