The first week of Lent continues today for all of us and once again, Father Anthony dealing with not only the stress and disstress today, but also coming back again from a funeral this morning and feeling a bit distracted by it. Gerri is feeling that this Lent is feeling like a good one, a very special Lent for her and she can hardly wait. Producer Nick is feeling ok, just a bit lazy and trying to get in his usual step climb before the show starts. Christina and Tony are doing ok today as well. However, the discussion turns to talking about things in the news recently, such as the stolen passports incident. Father Anthony goes on with the discussion of Lent, especially the number 40 dealing with this as well as raining for 40 Days and 40 Nights, Hebrews wandering the desert for 40 years, and others, signifying that it's a long time. Father Anthony also shares the recent Gospel reading and how beautiful a reading it was for everyone, and in a way relates to Lent if you listen carefully to Father Anthony. With talk of being Kith and Kin is shared and in relation to not only us in friends and family, but with God and Jesus as well. After the first break, the discussion of Lent and The Gospel reading are continued, in particular humiliation along the lines of kith and kin, as well as choice/choosing/chosen. Another major topic is the upcoming, possible blizzard that is supposed to happen overnight, which is explained a bit further, even though it feels like and is supposed to be Spring soon, but being Kith and Kin to God is still shared.
