eCrimeBytes Nibble #1: Three FL Officers, Two ID Theft Schemes

Ever wonder how identities are stolen? Here are two cases that involve three law enforcement officers. The first involves a department of corrections officer that used daily inmate intake lists and sold them to a confidential informant. The second case involved two officers in FL who misused their access to a driver's license database to research real victims to file fraudulent tax returns in their name. The second officer in this scheme has been sentenced to more than 6 years in prison.
