Morning Report 12 Apr 22: ASX set to open lower as Wall St slump

Local shares are set for a lower start as US sharemarkets fell on Monday as investors focused on inflation and the impact of policy tightening by central banks. Rate-sensitive growth stocks lead declines. At the close of trade, the Dow Jones index fell by 413 points or 1.2%. The S&P 500 index dipped 1.7% and the Nasdaq index shed 299 points or 2.2%.
