Nasty Nigel?

Back in March, Reform UK entered into an electoral pact with the TUV, a unionist party led by Jim Allister. Yesterday, Nigel Farage personally endorsed two DUP candidates, including on that Jim Allister is standing against. Why did Nigel do this? Is being ruthless a necessity?
