Ranganatha Ashtakam

This Ashtakam was composed by Adi Shankara Bhagavatpada, when he found himself before Sri Ranganatha in Srirangam during the course of his travels. The ashtakam or octet describes how Adi Shankara was overwhelmed by the sight of the deity. His mind was captivated by the Lord, and he expressed his feelings through this song, in which he praises the attributes of the deity. Those who chant it regularly can achieve wish fulfillment and attain the Lord’s abode.
