What’s Your Motive?

Today's conversation between Chad Kneller, Martevious Young and I is in response to an amazing dialogue between Craig Groeschel & Patrick Lencioni about what really drives you and motivates WHAT you do each and every day.

Here are some of the high points:

There are two primary reasons people become leaders... either one is pursuing the power and authority that comes with that role OR because they feel the responsibility and burden to help add value to the lives of others.

Servant leadership should be the ONLY kind of leadership.

Avoiding conflict is ultimately selfish. If we don't tell people the truth in love, we are actually doing them HARM.

Healthy organizations grow and thrive over time - which will almost always be an indicator of whether there is good leadership on the field or not!
