Juncker “ridiculous” parliament comments a “step too far” – McGuinness

MEPs in the European Parliament have been reacting to derogatory comments about the parliament that were made yesterday by Jean-Claude Juncker. The European Commission President derided MEPs when so few of them turned up to hear an address by the Maltese prime minister. Mr Juncker denounced the parliament as being totally ridiculous. He complained that there would have been a much bigger attendance if the German or French leaders were present. The Fine Gael MEP Mairead McGuinness had this to say about Mr Juncker’s comments.
