Unfortunately, the reputation of transgender incarcerated persons within Massachusetts "male" state prisons is bad. The incarcerated population view incarcerated trans folks as being informants, drama, and false accusers of sexual assault. Speaks on the need for empathy, care, and support for inside transgenders, to help them with self-care, advocacy, and preparation for a positive reintegration back into society. The need for organizations to step up to empower inside trans community.
