Market Close 1 Feb 22: ASX 200 gains as RBA remains patient on rates

The Australian sharemarket rose by 0.5% as the RBA kept rates on hold and seemed in no rush to raise them despite rising inflation. Iron ore prices fell yesterday as Lunar New Year holidays kick off.
