Market Close 6 Apr 21: ASX hits highest close in 7-weeks

The ASX 200 hit its highest close since February 16 on the back of broad improvements. The technology sector was a standout while travel stocks also lifted on news of a Trans-Tasman travel bubble to begin in a fortnight. There was little reaction to the RBA rate decision.
