Market Close 16 Mar 18: Market climbs higher as Wesfarmers jumps 6.3%

A 6.3% jump in Wesfarmers shares has helped the local sharemarket finish up 0.5% on Friday. The rally follows an announcement by WES that it’s going to spin-off its Coles business.
