Hebrews 11 provides a "hall of fame" of persons who through faith in God undertook tasks which brought glory to God. Pastor Phil Kniss referred to these people as faithful fools. They were willing to place themselves in risk because of their desire to be faithful to God's call.

We are challenged to continue to listen for God's call, and, testing what we hear with Scripture and the discernment of the Holy Spirit in our faith community, we are then to act on that call. When, as faithful fools, we rush in where angels fear to tread, God says "YES!"
