Pastor Phil Kniss outlined some similarities between Christians and Muslims. He also pointed out some of the differences. But even in the differences, we have much to gain by learning from the "other". However, to learn we need to engage in good dialogue. To do this promotes spiritual growth and a deeper understanding of God.
Pastor Phil called on the church to be the church, and to present the good news, not political or spiritual slogans and not trite platitudes. Can we engage our Muslim neighbors with substance and honesty? We can, if like our Muslim neighbors, we embrace the claim that God is greater!
