Using Audio for Content Learning in Education

Audio lesson this class. Students read about using content learning (one of the six 21st century learning goals). They will make an audio file showing how to use declarative, structural or procedural knowledge to teach content. Declarative knowledge is taught by memorization and drill and practice, for example how we learned our  math multiplication tables. Structural knowledge means understanding how pieces of declarative knowledge fit together. So in our math example, multiplying the six candy bars times the price and then subtracting from a $10 bill to find out how much change should be given.  Procedural knowledge is action, or how to do something, so for our example, we would learn how to use a the cash register to give the change. We used Audacity to record and Podbean to share our audio file.
