Using images of creation as the garment with which God is clothed, and of creation as a song of praise sung to God by all that has been created, Pastor Phil urged us to view creation care not as an optional activity, but one which is mandatory. God has placed us in a position of power over the created world and we need to exercise that power in a sustaining way. While we may not agree on the specifics of what we should be doing, we can at least agree that God's creation has been placed in our care. Acts of caring for the created world are acts which are bringing glory to God.
