The Bible does refer to sports. One example is Philippians 3:12-16, which compares life to a race. But there are other texts that also relate. Luke 4:1-13 tells of the temptations of Christ in the wilderness. In many ways sports has become a huge temptation in our culture. As a dominant "religion", and we are tempted to worship at the alter of sports. The question for us as Christians might be, "Where do we draw our limits in our love of sports?"
