Firstfruits Versus Leftovers

Sunday February 13, 2011 David prepares to build an altar to the Lord (the season in his life from which this springs is worthy of consideration) and make sacrifices. Everything he needs is offered to him—free of charge. David declares that he cannot make a ‘sacrifice to the Lord that costs him nothing.’ How much of our spiritual lives and pursuits, offerings and service, amount to leftovers?
