Today's guest is Jim Pew and he is the attorney for the organization Earthjustice in Washington DC – a nonprofit public interest law firm dedicated to protecting the environment, natural resources and wildlife. Jim has degrees from Stanford University, an MA in law from Cambridge in the UK, and a doctorate of law from the University of Pennsylvania. Before Earthjustice, he worked with the Natural Resources Defense Council and with private legal firms. Jim, along with Earthjustice, have been spearheading efforts to curtail incinerator pollution by the fossil fuel energy industries and to preserve the Clean Air Act and the EPA’s authority to oversee it now under serious threat by the private energy cartels.
