We are reaching a pivotal and evolving era in the war on terror with the death of Osama Bin Laden, the rise of digital Jihadists, and now a drawdown in troops from Afghanistan, announced by the President last night. Catherine Herridge, Fox News National Security Correspondent and author of the new book The Next Wave: On the Hunt for Al Queda’s American Recruits, reminds us that the demise of Bin Laden does not mean the war is over. Herridge documents the next chapter in the war, what she names “Al Queda 2.0,” in which a greater and more diverse threat will be met by terrorists using Western technology against itself. Next, Radio Personality and Activist Melanie Morgan, gives a final push for Troopathon, a campaign to send care packages to servicemen and women overseas. Morgan also offers insight from the frontlines, in which the troops are receiving mixed signals from the Obama Administration. Finally, Congressman Duncan Hunter, a former Captain in the US Marine Corp and member of the House Armed Service Committee, discusses the drawdown in Afghanistan, arguing for a change from the counterinsurgency strategy to match the drawdown.
