United We Stand

What keeps the “unity” in “community”?  Who are we united with?  Finding common ground gives us the chance to be part of something bigger than ourselves.  It gives us the opportunity to include others.  A healthy community can turn ideas into movements.  They can turn thoughts into progress.  This week we’ll see an example from the Bible that shows us how a community united by God can be an unstoppable force.  (Message recorded July 5, 2011) Key Text: Nehemiah 1-4 Points for Discussion: 1.    Would you say the people in your community are united?  Why or why not? 2.    Where in your community do you see distress? 3.    How often do you pray for your community? 4.    How might your community be different if there were more and better disciples? 5.    What steps are you taking to become a better disciple?
