Loving His Sheep

Series:  Loving Jesus, Loving His Sheep 7/31/11 "Do You Love the Church?"  The reason that we need to ask ourselves that question, is because our answer to that question is of utmost importance to Jesus.  Jesus asked 100's of questions in the gospels, it was one of his most effective means of teaching and communicating spiritual truth.    After His resurrection Jesus appeared to Peter, and asked him three times:  “Peter, do you love me?”  And three times Jesus connects Peter’s love for Him, with Peter’s love for His Church.  The two are inseparable.  You cannot love Jesus, and not love the Church that He loved so much that He gave His life for it.
