The State of Georgia (the one in the USA) executed Troy Anthony Davis on September 21 after a last minute appeal to the United States Supreme Court was denied. On the Friday previous to the execution we spoke with Larry Bergman, a citizen of the United States living here in Regina who is a lifelong human rights activist and opponent of the death penalty. Larry tells us why this execution was particularly unfair and why, in his opinion, the death penalty needs to be abolished universally.
