Episode #328 - What Do the Saints Have in Common?

Father Anthony, Tony, Geraldine and Cristina are on the program today. What do the saints have in common besides being in heaven? They were all early risers! Father Anthony talks about the spiritual and corporeal benefits of rising early. Father Anthony talks about today's feast of St. Fabian and St. Sebastian and tomorrow's feast of St. Agnes. Father Anthony talks about Pope Benedict's message that the Church is the conscious of the people by providing rational argument, which is why the Church is often seen "out of touch" with present society. Separation of Church and State does not means that the Church cannot comment on the state of culture. It does mean that the Church has the right to be the voice of moral authority. Father Anthony closes the program with St. Ambrose's reflection on St. Agnes.
