Trust and Rest in Jesus

John the Baptists began to doubt Jesus was the Messiah despite earlier being so sure. This was because Jesus did not meet John's Messianic expectations. To people who are tempted to fall away because Jesus does not meet their expectations Jesus says, as he said to John, "Blessed is the man (and woman) who does not fall away on account of me." Then there is Jesus' gracious invitation to come to him to find rest, rest for our souls.
