Learning to Love Structure

School started this week. Yay!

We finally get back to a regular schedule.

Don’t get me wrong, the freedom of the summer is a nice break in the routine.

----more---- But the structured schedule of the school year means that I can finally get things done.

We need both structure and freedom to be successful.

Enough structure so that we know what to expect.

And enough freedom to be creative when the urge strikes.

The key is to find the right balance between structure and freedom.

If need be, you can add freedom to your schedule.

Sure, it isn’t impulsively free to structure free time.

But the sad truth is, if you don’t, you won’t.
