A miracle in the midst of scarcity

In John 6:1-14, Andrew brought a young boy with his bread and fish to Jesus. Jesus miraculously used these small offerings to feed a multitude of people. The other disciples had no idea of how to solve the problem of feeding the crowd. Byron Pellecer, pastor of Iglesia Discipular Anabaptista, said that God needs people like Andrew, who find resources and bring things to Jesus, and God needs people like some of the other disciples who plan and problem-solve. God needs thinkers and doers. God needs people like the little boy who offered the little bit that he had, to be used by God. That is when miracles happen. We hear Jesus’ voice and we respond with what we have. God does the rest.
