His books include T-Cells & Sympathy, Acting = Life and The Drama of AIDS. Kearns has written several solo pieces that have been performed worldwide (including intimacies, Rock, and Attachments). A contributor to more than a dozen anthologies, he is also the co-writer of the screenplay Nine Lives. He lives in Los Feliz with his daughter, Katherine, an up and coming filmmaker.
