Imagine a white sandy beach, right in the middle of Orlando! Imagine gliding through a tube and watching black and white Commerson’s dolphins watching YOU. Imagine floating around on a balmy day and watching the scenery drift by. You don’t have to imagine this any longer. Come to SeaWorld’s Aquatica and experience all this and much more!
Plan to be there early in the day and find your very own spot on a white, sandy beach. Picnic baskets are available or if you prefer, an assortment of air conditioned restaurants. Here’s some details of some of the rides and attractions you will find:
Hoo Roo:
- A raft ride where the entire family can ride together down six stories and 600 feet of curves and tunnels
- Life guards will yell "hoo Roo!" and families will be encouraged to yell "Hoo Roo!" back before they are sent down the slide
Next to that is Walhalla Wave:
- A triple-drop raft ride where riders experience a sense of weightlessness as they raft down a 6-story, triple drop slide
- Guest comfort: You will notice the teal conveyer running up the center of the attraction that lifts rafts to the top of the attraction so you won’t have to worry about carrying one yourself
Banana Beach Cookout:
- Aquatica’s "All you care to eat" buffet - one price entitles you to keep returning all day long
- Menu is all American cookout style
Adaptations:
- This merchandise store is named because the items sold will help guests "adapt" to the sun and beach
- Sunglasses, sunscreen, bathing suits, sandals, etc.
Loggerhead Lane:
- For a gentler pace, the lazy river carries guests around and splits into a "Y"
- One way takes guests past a grotto filled with thousands of colorful fish and another through a spectacular underwater view of the Commerson’s dolphin habitat
Tassie Twisters:
- These are the first bowl rides to any Busch Parks
- They are unique because they actually sit on their own island - guests will have to hop on the lazy river and float around the island to get to the attraction
- Rafters will spin around, and around, until they splash through a tunnel back into the river below
Tamata Racer:
- Adventurous guests can compete on this 8-lane racing ride that sends riders speeding head first, on a mat down a 300-foot slide
Walkabout Waters:
- One of the world’s largest interactive water play areas
- 60-foot colorful rain fortress offers kids a 15,000-square-foot play area to zoom on family slides, climb through nets and blast water cannons
Roa’s Rapids:
- An adventure river zips guests through 1,500 feet of rapids at a speed three to four times faster than a typical water park river
Dolphin Plunge:
- The park’s signature attraction plunges riders down 300 feet of clear tubes through a crystal-blue lagoon with black-and-white Commerson’s dolphins. These beautiful Commerson dolphins are actually 4-5 feet in length and only about 100 pounds. They’re very fast and agile and commonly zoom and zip around upside down. They are black and white, just like Shamu!
Wanau Way:
- Guests can get social as they team up on double inner tubes and take a journey down four 5-story slides filled with drops, curves, tunnels and water curtains
Kata’s Kookaburra Cove:
- For the little guests - this area has four different slides: Slippity Dippity, Zippity Zappity, Racer Chase and Slider Rider
- Specially built rafts with a hole in the back for mom and dad, and covered in the front for kids (so they don’t fall through)
Wave Pools:
- Letting the water be a backdrop for other experiences (sunbathing, eating, reading, relaxing)
- People watching
Cutback Cove and Big Surf Shores:
- The world’s only side-by-side wave pools that can be operated simultaneously or independently
- Nine different wave patterns can be created
- Typically, there are 4-5 foot swells in one and a gently rolling surf in the other
- Lined by wide, 80,000 square foot sandy beaches
Beach Service:
- You will be able to have a beer or other beverage served to you right on the beach
Cabanas:
- Aquatica is the only water park in Central Florida to offer private cabanas. Guests can reserve and purchase for a fee for the day.
- They include a mini-fridge filled with refreshments, towels, ceiling fan, two sitting chairs and two laying chairs and menus with order cards
