Remember, Review, Renew

On this Sunday our congregation heard the faith statements of two youth who were to be baptized that afternoon. Pastor Barbara Moyer Lehman built upon their faith statements to lead the congregation in reflecting on what baptism means to us. Believers baptism is about choice, confession, conversion,, cleansing, covenant, commitment, community, and church. Hearing this, we were encouraged to renew our own baptismal vows, or consider making such a commitment for the first time, to step into the river of faith with all of the rest of the faithful and flawed persons already there.
