Prioritizing Ethics

One often overlooked aspect of ethics is that it can help you prioritize.

And when you have your work properly prioritized, it makes life easier.

I don’t know about you, but I tend to get stuck when none of my options are optimal.

When that happens, I list my possible courses of actions and/or my to do list, and rank them according to more important vs. less important using my ethical values as a guide.

This is often enough to help me prioritize my work effectively.

It is also great for helping to get better work life balance.

After all, if you value work life balance, you will prioritize that over some other things that maybe aren’t as important.

It is not always easy to make wise decisions.

Actively invoking your ethics will help.
