False prophets have deep roots in the bible. The first false prophet, Satan, became the prince of this world with his false grace message. The trend continues in this chapter of Jeremiah. Jeremiah is warning the people with his "negative" message and the false prophets are tickling the peoples ears with their "positive" message. The people flock to the false prophets and give their tithes and offerings to them. Sounds familiar? While Jeremiah is upholding God's standard and judgment the false prophets are preaching peace, peace, peace. Ask yourself would you have liked Jeremiah or the false prophets message.
