Love, Lust, and Laughter - 03/05/13

Dr. Nancy Dreyfus brilliantly discussed her groundbreaking book in its 3rd Edition: TALK TO ME LIKE I’M SOMEONE YOU LOVE. This last Edition was expanded to have a “Making Love” section with accompanying flash cards. The subtitle to her book is “Relationship Repair in a Flash” and these messages highlight the power of written messages to defuse tension – thereby going from “crazy” to “cozy.” One really helpful flash card is, “This feels awful. Can we start again and really listen to each other?”  No blame here, and the other is acknowledged. This is a gem of a show – and there’ll be a Part 2!
