This is a day of celebration and rejoicing for Christians, though in one sense every day should be, because of the events of the week of Christ’s passion and resurrection nearly 2,000 years ago. It is a day when those who truly believe can rejoice, and even those whose faith is more of a “heritage” than a “heart” take time to identify with the church in its remembrance of Christ’s resurrection.
Interestingly, the first Easter began with an earthquake, perhaps an aftershock of the devastation that had taken place on Good Friday when the Temple veil had been torn in two.
Pastor Craig shares with us today that the angels present at the tomb who spoke to the women there did not just give information, but a rebuke. And in those words, we have both a warning and hope given to us today.
