Healing doesn’t always happen first time. It is ok to ask again. Even when Jesus prayed for healing it didn’t always happen completely first time and he had to pray again. In Mark 8 verses 22-26, Jesus spits on a blinds mans eyes and puts his hands on him, then asks him if he can see. The blind man replies he can see people that look like trees walking around. Jesus puts his hands on the blind mans’ eyes once more and only then is his eyesight restored to normal.

Luke 7:11 -15 tells of Jesus raising a man from the dead without being asked to do so, by anyone. Again in Luke 13:10-13 Jesus heals a woman who had been crippled for 18 years, she doesn’t ask him to and demonstrates no faith that she believes he can heal her, he just chooses to do so.
~Ill health can be a sign that there is sin in the person’s life but not always. Many times when Jesus heals someone there is no mention of sin. In John 9:2 the disciples ask Jesus about a blind man.’ Rabbi’, they said ‘who sinned, this man or his parents?’ Jesus replies’ Neither this man nor his parents sinned, this happened that the works of God may be displayed in him.’ At other times as in Matthew 9: 2 the person is told your sins are forgiven. Interestingly the mans health is not restored. It is only when the teachers of the law accuse him of blasphemy that He decides to heal the man. Obviously faith can play a part in healing. In Mark 10 Jesus heals Bartimaeus, with the words ‘ your faith has healed you’.
